The Concept of Time in Claudian's historical Epic

Este artículo analiza el sentido ambivalente del tiempo en la epopeya histórica de Claudio (siglo IV d.C.). Para el poeta, el tiempo es, por un lado, cíclico y eterno (αἰών), y por otro, lineal e irreversible (χρόνος). También se estudia la influencia de la filosofía neoplatónica y del estoicismo en la concepción claudiana del tiempo, asociando siete conceptos que están en el núcleo de la cultura grecolatina y son parte activa de su peculiar desarrollo histórico: Potentia , ἀναλογία, Iustitia , Bellum , Ars.
